I want to explore surrender on a deeper level. I am moved at the masses of people that are joining together across the world to fight for the rights of underprivileged groups. I have also noticed a lot of bitterness and hate towards leadership and even towards people who don’t share the same views. It is weighing heavy on my heart. The bitterness is so thick I can taste it. It does not taste good, yuck! Let’s shut the mouth of hate by learning to love. No more discord in our homes. No more discord in our communities. No more discord in our countries.
Submission is for the times we are tempted to be bitter and filled with hate. Submission shuts the mouths of evil spirits who seek to destroy love. Submission gives love the authority to heal. Submission does not mean you should allow your self to be abused. It gives freedom to curse the evil that attempts to rise and plants seeds of love in the dry barren places. When I say evil I am referring to the spirit behind a persons actions, not the actual person. We must submit to one another. We must put down our differences; lay low our pride. A middle ground can be found in love. In a place of submission you will find understanding, peace, and wisdom. Submit to God and He will teach you how to submit to one another and restore you. Just SUBMIT!
1 Peter 5:5-11
In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,
“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
