Bad experiences can easily turn a positive perspective into negativity. Avoiding emotions can prolong the healing process because you’ll hold on to the negative and store them deep inside or keep them on the surface. When I wait too long to deal with feelings I become bitter, depressed, and closed minded. When I suppress them they come back to haunt me at inappropriate times. Now I deal with emotions right away. Therefore, it’s easier to kick bad feeling out of my happy heart and hold on to a positive outlook. Never let bad experiences turn your world upside down!
So very true! I know what you mean and am learning to do the same myself. Holding on to the negative can really pollute your way of thinking.
