Christianity has been tainted with all kinds of crazy teachings. A lot of people twist the words of God to fit their wants yet fail to obey Him. A lot of churches are caught in fruitless traditions. These facts have kept me away from church for almost a decade. I didn’t know what to believe and didn’t want to be amongst people who were not obeying God. It even caused me to doubt the bible. No church is perfect but the body of Christ that is unified in His spirit is perfect (Ephesians 4:1-16). Our amazing God used imperfect people to write His holy words and build His kingdom. Be wise when dealing with people and churches. Listen to God’s holy spirit for he reveals, teaches, and corrects (1 John 2:27, 1 Corinthians 2:10-15). Stay in your bible so you will know God’s will. Don’t play church. Just serve God (John 12:25-26).

Your experience has been almost identical to mine. I spent years searching for truth, but religion had been a negative experience so I looked everywhere but the bible for a few years…I found peace and truth inside to bible for myself and will never again forget that the word of god is alive and powerful. Thanks for your doodle post today it was a blessing to me.

Amen! Every church is not perfect for sure. When we recently moved, it took us nearly two years to find a church that preached directly from His word, encouraged us to conduct our business as Christ-like examples and be accountable, knowing we live in a fallen world but the Lord is a forgiving God, just seek Him! What a concept! Thank you for sharing, you made my day!
Awesome! I find it sad that it’s so hard to find a church that teaches and practices God’s word but God will receive all the glory in the end. That’s all that matters!
