Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. (Romans 15:7)
I don’t know about you, but I don’t get along with everyone. Honestly, I don’t like most personalities. Just because I don’t like someone doesn’t mean I can’t love them. Love is an act, not a feeling. Sometimes I have to put my feelings to the side in order to display love. It’s important to make sure dislike does not transform into hate. Love, even when you feel like ripping someones head off. Leave a comment with your favorite scripture on love. Mine is 1 John 4:7-21. Love everyone! ❤ How many times did I write love in this post? LOL!
1 Corinthians 13:4 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.” Have a great day, friend.
Love that one! I hope you enjoy your day as well. 🙂
1 Corinthians 13:13 “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
Truth. Love is the greatest. 🙂
Thanks for that confirmed truth!
Be Blessed!

😀 Many blessings to you as well!

Reblogged this on "light and salt" and commented:
“…love even when you feel like ripping someone’s head off.” Wow, a strong message from Shannon!
Really love what you are doing here..What helps me going is the verse of scripture that says ” God is love” and another that says he allows the sun to shine on both the just and unjust..I just try to see people the way God sees them. The differences in personalities makes the world a colorful place. Keep up the faith work here..sis and remember, other saints are hailing you from the grand stands in heaven!
Thank you so much. You are right! Being able to see people as God does makes it easier to love. We are very colorful people, inside and out! 🙂 Thank you for sharing.
Pls, can you help me post this as a guest blog post…not as a comment..thanks. When I visited your blog.I had a leading to write something but I can’t write it on my blog..cos it is not within the scopes of it…but yours is.Here it goes: Handling Depression: I wake up sometimes and wonder when some issues in life will be resolved, lots of things happening both the good and the bad. Psalms 69:20 Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. And being a perfectionist who tends to be broody, most times, when I pray inside of me and look for hope and strength as no one cares about what am going through cos they all have theirs. I remember David, who consoled himself in the Lord when the enemies came to take all that he and his men had when they were to fight. It is hard to. Really it is and then, I just talk to the holy spirit and tell him to comfort me and increase me.Psalms 71:21 Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side. All this, I do with a grateful heart. The bible says that we should make our requests known with gratitude in our hearts, am paraphrasing that. And I am usually lifted. Counting all my blessings literally and soon am back to my high spirits. Am writing this to encourage a lot of people going through depression, it is normal but not healthy to sink into the swamps of depression. Madamsabi. Thanks sis and God bless you. Pls, u can add my blog link on this post. Thanks once again
Sure, I’d love to help. I don’t know how to write a guest blog post. How does that work?

Thanks you. Sorry I wasn’t much help with your post!
God subject and good read! One of my favorite scriptures on love is Romans 8:38-39 I believe that God set the standard for how we should love by the way he loves us – we have blessed assurance that his love can never be taken away from us…..I want to love everyone in such a way …yes, it is a challenge for sure..when I find myself wanting to remove someones head….I just remind myself that God loves that person as he loves me….one of my favorite songs that speaks to this is: I want to live like that by Sidewalk Prophets: http://youtu.be/mwZsywhXDg8
God’s love to you!
Great song! I want to live like that! I am happy we have Jesus to learn from! Thanks for sharing. Happy loving! 😀
John 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life [one’s desires, agenda, pride, etc.] for one’s friends.”
That’s one of my favorites too. I love the books John wrote because he focuses on God’s greatest commandment.
Luke 7:47
I like that one. Mostly because it’s different. 🙂
Love your site! Thanks for visiting mine so I could find yours!
