The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest. (Isaiah 32:17-18)
I memorized Isaiah 32:17-18 this week. The answer to living a peaceful life is in these words. Those who are righteous will have peace. Righteousness comes from believing God’s word (Romans 4:3). Peace brings quietness. The noise from a worrisome mind will cease to exist. Faith brings confidence. The man who trusts in God realizes he can not fail and is able to accomplish anything. When I trust God I am able to still my mind. Then peace overflows, even when the world around me is falling down. Practice these things and you will have peace, quietness, and confidence forever. Have faith. Be righteous. Gain Peace. Receive confidence. Think Quiet.
