Meek people are often perceived to be weak. But it takes great strength to be able to remain calm and quite when faced with aggression. The hardest part is letting go of resentment. How do you feel when you handle a heated fight or argument with a meek heart?
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. (Mathew 5:5)
But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity. (Psalm 37:11)
meek: (1) Having or showing a quiet and gentle nature. Not wanting to fight or argue with other people. (2) Enduring injury with patience and without resentment. (definition from merriam-webster.com)
Meekness is hard for us to master because the “world” doesn’t understand the concept behind it. This is why it holds such promise and virtue for those who can learn to practice it!

Yes, it’s a daily quest to find the meekness of Christ within myself. Most days I feel like a failure because rage often takes over.
There are days when I have the same problem. I think the “rage” doesn’t really define who we normally are. It’s just the human reaction to frustration, (maybe some guilt), because we aren’t feeling God’s comfort and hope.
Keep working at it, and it will come in God’s time!
