I AM Free!

No one likes to walk in skin ripping shackles. Freedom starts in the mind. A positive attitude inspires strength and wisdom to fly above it all. Think about ways you allow your mind to stay in bondage. Write down actions you can accomplish, as well as affirmations to proclaim, that will help you achieve freedom.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1)

free: (1) Enjoying personal freedom.  Not subject to the control or domination of another. (2) Relieved from or lacking something and especially something unpleasant or burdensome. (3) Not bound, confined, or detained by force. (definitions from merriam-webster.com)

  1. I really like this one! Ironically, Christ allowed Himself to be bound in shackles, have His skin ripped with the lash, and nailed to a cross so we wouldn’t have to be!

    Good post…

      • And especially when He could have set Himself free at any time. I mean, He didn’t even have to do it at all…but Jesus does love us so much, and He proves it time and again!

      • You know, we do have so many blessings in the Lord that when the “walls of worry and concern” start to close in on us, we need to stop, drop, and pray right then!

If we can’t physically do so, then pray in our minds. This is one vital part of our prayer life which we need to learn. We can be independent of many worries by becoming dependent on faithful prayer…

Have a good day, my dear!

      • Yes. It’s funny you mentioned that because lately God has been telling me to do exactly that when I get overwhelmed. Every time I do that with an open and honest heart all the worry disappears.

      • It’s a matter of trust and faith…it always has been! Thanks as always for your comments and great insights…
