Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. (1 John 4:8)
Last week I received a request from a member of the Christ a Poet team to illustrate the communication between us and God. This topic is perfect for our exploration of love. Our relationship with God is the most important relationship we will ever have. The key to that relationship is communication. It’s impossible to develop a bond or get to know someone without it. Worship is one of the many ways we express our love to God. We worship in our thoughts, in our giving, in our words, in our prayers, in our actions, in our hearts. Building a strong partnership with God is the first step to truly living and understanding love. No matter where you are in life I encourage you to continually reach out to God through avenues of communication such as prayer, reading his word, and worship. Watch the lines of communication reach heights you could never imagine.

Well, I have been away for a little bit. My mother passed away last month and I had a number of details to take care of. Bless her heart, she’s now “perfect” and with her Lord in a most glorious place…heaven!
