Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
When I was a child my mom posted this scripture above my bed to help ease my mind. Problems are unavoidable. They cause all kinds of anxiety. Poison pain with a dose of positive. A positive outlook can numb pain and shed light in the darkest places. I’m most successful at handling pain when I become submissive to stress by allowing discomfort to pass; then I am able to change the way I view things. Give it to God. Praise your way through. Handle pain!
What a good Mom! Your post was perfect for me today! 🙂

This is a great thought: it’s not about being happy all the time but about being able to stay peaceful even in distressing times. Peace of mind is the greatest happiness 🙂
Peace of mind is wonderful and infectious!
