The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. (Psalm 37:23-24)
God will never let me fall. If I stumble, he has the ability to raise me higher than before. This fact always creates supernatural confidence; confidence that moves mountains. When I only have confidence in my own abilities it turns into destructive pride or fear (Proverbs 16:18). Then I start smelling myself. It doesn’t smell like roses; more like rank onions. Cockiness smells sweet when you trust in the Lord. Some say I’m cocky. I just know God got me!
This post was inspired by the song Cocky by Andy Mineo.
Great post Doodles!
Thank you! ❤
I needed to read this! I’m so encouraged by God’s love and grace for He leads, speaks to and guides in everything.
Amen! I’ve been working on spending more of my time in conversation with God. It’s an amazing experience to be lead and encouraged by him continually throughout the day.

A thought that often goes through my head during the darkest times of my life has been “this too shall pass.” With Him we will make it through anything. Romans 8:28–“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good…” I’m enjoying looking through your blog posts.
I say the exact same things to myself during hard times. Standing on that truth brings peace. Thanks for all your lovely comments and support!
You’re welcome. I thought you’d be getting sick of me by now. Lol I had a fair amount of free time the other day to look through your blog. 🙂
Not at all! I really enjoyed your comments. lol
