The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. (Psalm 37:23-24)

God will never let me fall. If I stumble, he has the ability to raise me higher than before. This fact always creates supernatural confidence; confidence that moves mountains. When I only have confidence in my own abilities it turns into destructive pride or fear (Proverbs 16:18). Then I start smelling myself. It doesn’t smell like roses; more like rank onions. Cockiness smells sweet when you trust in the Lord. Some say I’m cocky. I just know God got me!

This post was inspired by the song Cocky by Andy Mineo.

  2. A thought that often goes through my head during the darkest times of my life has been “this too shall pass.” With Him we will make it through anything. Romans 8:28–“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good…” I’m enjoying looking through your blog posts.
