Proud!

proud_Doodles-Invigorate.jpg

I’ve never been ashamed of sharing stories of my life no matter how embarrassing they may be. Lately I’ve been getting some pretty judgemental reactions. At first it made me feel some type of way, but I quickly realized if I didn’t make those mistakes I wouldn’t be the amazing woman I am today. So I am proud to be that woman who did some crazy stuff. Who knows, maybe my stories will inspire other imperfect people. People do dumb stuff, yet in the midst of stupidity beauty is born. Be PROUD to be you!

  1. I’ve learned more from my mistakes than from the things I did right.
And I’m increasingly amazed at how much I’m loved, by a God who laughs with me and cries for me when I have trouble doing those things myself.
Your poster postings are wonderfully concise.
    Thanks.

  2. We learn from the acts of our youth; our young life past. We make many mistakes, more so when we are younger and inexperienced in life’s situations. No one is an exception to that.

Where we do differ is how we learn, (or fail to learn), from the outcomes of these decisions of youth. Either way, they do make us who we are to a large extent. We have done well if we can reflect upon the days of the past as a learning tool and not make as many poor choices as we did when we were younger. If we can say that much about ourselves, then we have learned, matured…and from that we can be proud to be who we are. Especially so if we have allowed God to take control of our hearts and lives! Good post Shannon!!

    • Maturity is a beautiful thing. I’ve never really enjoyed my youth. I always say the older I get the more I’ll enjoy life because I’ll be wiser and hopefully more settled. Sadly some people never mature. Lol! 🙂

      • Ah, but you are not one of those, Shannon. You may not have all the answers for your life yet, but you fight to find them all the time. I respect that about you!

I suppose you’ve read that I’m moving on to try other things, and will be closing this blog in a short while. I want to thank you for your support and wish you the very best! May God help you and lead your heart always…

        Steve 🙂

      • I’m sad to hear that! I know I’m horrible with keeping up on reading your posts. But the ones I have read are packed with great insight. I’ll miss it! Thanks for your dedication and hard work. Thanks for all your support to everyone. I know I’m not the only one you encourage. 🙂

      • Thank you for that, Shannon. You and I have both had times when we’ve encouraged each other over some time now.

I haven’t completely decided to let this website go just yet. It seems several great people like yourself have expressed the fact they will be sad to see it go.

It’s just that I’ve stopped posting here twice in the past year, trying to move on to something else. But I wind up right back here doing this! Now I wonder how it would look to people if I came back once more…

Not sure yet what to do. Any thoughts? :/

      • Thanks for the advice, Shannon! I’m working toward that mindset a bit more. Have a super day…

        ~Steve
