My son is a budding 11 year old who thinks he knows a lot about life. I constantly tell him he should listen to me because I have experience and know what the outcome will be. He is head strong and likes to make his own choices. As a mother I get frustrated  because I want the best for my child. I am now learning that sometimes I have to let him fall so he can learn on his own. I realize he is his own person with his own ideas about life. All I can do is lead and discipline when necessary. The times I get off his back and allow God to speak to him are the times I see good change in him. Those are the times he is able to humble himself and make wise choices. We have to allow God to fill in the gaps in the lives of our children. Give your child room to make mistakes!
