Welcome!

shannon-childs_profile

I’m Shannon Childs, a designer who wants to make you smile. I started Doodles Invigorate to creatively share my thoughts and inspire others to think positive. I do this through imagery and sharing my personal life experiences. I enjoy symbolism because it engages the audience to find their own meaning to the image. These doodles have special meaning to me. I hope you will find your own special meaning as well.

Since I’ve started Doodles Invigorate I’ve made a major transition in my life—transitioning into Jesus. You can see that transition through the posts. I went from encouraging through positive thinking to encouraging through the word of God. Some posts have scripture references. I encourage you to read them and dig deep into the word. The bible has great power and all the tools for successful living.

You will see and lot of happy-go-lucky stuff on this web site. I believe a person has to counter the negative with positive. The best way to do that is through love. You will hear me say spread love a lot. I’m not talking about any kind of love, but the love of Christ.

I think it’s vital for people to continually search for hidden treasures to make life special and continually renew their minds. Doodles Invigorate is designed to help us find love, hope, joy, and peace in all things. I hope you enjoy this web site and are encouraged.  Please feel free to share the doodles that inspire you! I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, even if you disagree. Thank you for joining me on this journey!

Doodle: to draw or scribble idly.
Invigorate: to give vigor to; fill with life and energy; energize.

  1. Hi,
I’m here as you liked one of my posts so I thought I’d have a look at your blog.
I like your doodle/word art & especially noticed your “don’t worry about judging eyes”
I also read your about, and I think it’s completely appropriate for you to say you don’t like others images they use with their quotes. If that’s your opinion, that’s fine, we all like what we like, but it doesn’t go with your “don’t worry about judging eyes” doodle art.
One is about judging and one is about not judging. It’s hard for me to tell where your coming from?

    • Thanks for stopping by and expressing your thoughts. The judging eyes post was catered to negative and condescending remarks that are said to purposely make someone feel bad. We live in a world where everyone judges, even myself. The point of the post is to say don’t worry about what others think. By no means was I trying to undermine anyone’s art, I just said I don’t care for it, which is the truth.

In my opinion beauty is in the eye of the beholder. All things are beautiful. There is beauty in “ugly” and “beautiful” things. Everyone has a right to their opinion. No matter what the opinion is you shouldn’t let it hinder your self esteem. I’m sure there are people who probably think my doodles are ugly. That’s okay because I love them and that’s all that matters.

  2. Thanks for dropping by my article about Tiger Moms needing rest. Love your doodles. Maybe you can make one about Tiger Moms and Cubs needing rest?

  3. Shannon, thank you for liking my post — it gave me the opportunity to view your marvelous artwork. You are indeed gifted, and seem to know who to thank for that gift. I like your doodle, but your print and logo work are terrific! I’ll pop by now and then to check your work out! And thanks for the spiritual inspiration.

  5. Hi – yes thanks for liking a post on my blog – glad you did as your site is full of wonder. I am also a Christian and appreciate your take on things. Some of these doodles could easily be sold as posters, on mugs etc …I’d love stuff like this…so much Christian art is a bit (I have to say) predicable…. whatever…please be encouraged!

      • May you remember His care for you in the good times, but especially in the bad times as well!

God will allow us to be tested, (book of James). But He will never allow us to be tempted beyond our ability to resist, (1 Corinthians).

Enjoy your blessings in the Lord, and please visit, comment, and ask any questions at anytime!
