Honor Your Body

It is easy to defile our bodies with things that are not good for it. There are three main ways I’m working on honoring my body. 1. Because I am not married I abstain from from all sexual activities. God honors sex in marriage (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:12-20). 2. I’m learning to eat healthier, exercise, and avoid using products with harsh chemicals (Daniel 1:8-17). 3. Last but not least, I try my best to be mindful of the words I speak (Mathew 12:34-37, Proverbs 18:20-21). You were bought at a price. Honor your body!

  1. This is a very Godly endeavor, even if many in the world do not understand it. People of faith must do as you have done…teach by example! Very good post…

      • Everyone wants a Savior…but no one wants a Master! You are right, we need to allow Him complete control over our heart and soul in order to be guided by Him.

This is the only way to find that greater level of “abundant life” which He wants for us.

Bringing your “body’s desires” under control is especially hard for most of us. Even the Apostle Paul had to “beat his body into submission.”

I have a most difficult time with this area of my Christian life. But as I, (we), grow in the faith, and practice focusing on Christ first, it becomes easier to do.

Thank you for following and supporting me! I love reading what your thought are on the Christian walk as well!

Enjoy your day, today, and may the Lord bless and keep you…(if I may ask, what is your name? I didn’t see it anywhere…)

        Talk to you later,
        Steve 🙂

      • Oh my, Shannon, I never got to your “about” page…so sorry! I am so glad to meet you and I know we will talk on a regular basis…

Be encouraged in your life and walk with the Lord!

        Steve 🙂

      • I love to help encourage sincere people in the word of God, and in life!

        It’s “Invigorating!” 🙂

      • Can you feel the “tingle” of satisfaction? Be happy to do God’s work!

        Steve 🙂
