This little light of mine has been flickering. I blame it on giving the devil a foothold through PMS and stress. People like to make a lot of excuses about hormones, stress, or whatever being the cause of mood swings and negative thinking. I can testify that it is possible to fight back at any time and make emotions simmer down. A feeling doesn’t make a person react the wrong way. You have a choice to do right or wrong and to be positive or negative. It’s better to shine through all your moods. It’ll save you a lot of apologies, stress, and tears. Ephesians 4:26-27
This morning I said to myself, “Enough is enough. I know my hormones are high and I have a few problems but I’m not going to be sad, irritated, frustrated, or disappointed anymore.” Then God told me He is always with me and to find Him in everything I do. Then peace and joy took over. We serve a mighty God. Get out of the way and let Him do wonders for you. SHINE! Ephesians 5:19-20
Loved this reminder today! Thank you for sharing.
Awesome! Thanks! 🙂
I’m glad you give a voice to this fact, Shannon. So many “medical experts” want us to believe we can’t control our actions due to the pre-existing conditions which are “hardwired” into our brains.
Truth is, many of those thing we CAN control through the proper attitude and relationship with God. Thank you for sharing with us just how a good bit of firm, personal resolve can go a long way toward that end!
We aren’t always “slaves to our genes…”
Enjoy your day, my friend!

This is so true. Mental issues and illnesses are bondage the devil tries to disguise as mental disorders. People fail to see Christ heals all our diseases, even mental disease. But he can only do it if me submit, believe in Him, and repent.
These are such truthful and wise words! All illnesses in the world are a result of man bringing sin into the world. We need the “Great Physician” to help heal us…
Of course that requires that we submit to His word and will and repent of sins. We can’t expect to get well if we continue to “sip the poison” which makes us sick!
Thanks again, Shannon. Have a super day and take the Lord with you in your heart.
Steve 🙂
Have a great day too! And thank you for always shining bright! 🙂
And you as well, Shannon! Bright and positive are very good traits to share with everyone…
We’ll talk later on,
Steve 🙂

Here’s what a bit of “Godly resolve” can do for us!
So true. I like the, “enough is enough” part. God can lift us out of a negative mood if we ALLOW Him to.
I like how you capitalized allow. The hard part is allowing him to take over.
